One of my personal favourite projects dates back to 2014, and I had the pleasure of working with Alex again in 2021. When he reached out with a request to work on “Phosphorus,” I was thrilled to dive into this new project.
Rhythmic 2D Layers
We began by crafting the rhythmic 2D layers using Resolume’s native generative content tools, providing a strong foundation for the visual narrative and perfectly complementing the rhythmic depth of Alex’s music.
Building the Mountain
To add a dynamic 3D element, I used GAEA to build a mountain and generate heightmaps and flowmaps, creating realistic terrain and fluid simulations that interact harmoniously with the 2D visuals.
Custom Screen Array
Using Cinema 4D, I designed a custom ‘screen’ array to display the 2D graphics, allowing for a seamless integration of 2D and 3D elements to enhance the visual storytelling.
